Today I am so excited to be able to bring you this giveaway from Stephanie Langford, Simple Organic contributor, and the woman behind Keeper of the Home. Stephanie has just released her second book, entitled Real Food on a Real Budget, and wow – it is a true goldmine.

I know that many of us want to eat healthier diets, full of whole, real foods and more organic and local foods, but the costs of eating this way are typically quite high. My family’s food budget is limited, as yours probably is, too. Each month, I find myself compromising in various ways, due to limited financial resources.

However, I have learned so much from reading Real Food on a Real Budget. Stephanie’s monthly food budget for her family of five is just $400, yet she purchases fresh milk, local pastured eggs, grass-fed beef, organic fruits and veggies, and natural skin and body care products. Are you intrigued yet?

If you want to learn more about how to feed your family real food within the constraints of a real budget, you need this book.  If you are daunted by the seemingly high costs of switching to a real food diet, you need this book. If you can’t seem to stretch your food budget far enough each month, you need this book.

Here’s what you’ll find in Real Food on a Real Budget: chapters on budgeting, meal planning, the best real food sources, how to compare prices, buying in bulk, seasonal eating, preserving, and much, much more.  It truly is a wealth of information, compiled from over six years of research and experience.

What I’d most like to learn: “How to shave literally hundreds and potentially even thousands off of your grocery expenses every year, without compromising on what you buy!”
Sounds too good to be true!

Princess Leia

The whole book sounds awesome, but I guess I’d focus on saving money (the first couple of chapters) right now.

I’m definitely always interested in saving money on our food budget. My goal this year to to halve our food budget, and so far I’m a bit behind on that.

Ilex

I subscribe to both feeds.

Kitter

Wow, lots of great stuff in there! My first priority is the first bullet – saving money on groceries without making compromises.

Kitter

I’m most interested in her take on working your meal plan around more better-for-you foods – nutrient-dense, locally grown/sourced.

Amy B.

I subscribe to both Simple Organic and Keeper of the Home via RSS. Thanks for the giveaway!

Stasi

planning for my “unique family” (that’s a nice way to say it. I usually call us weird). I like that she doesn’t claim to have a one size fits all cure everything solution

Ana

Well, I’d like to learn several of the things on the list, but maybe the most important one is how to provide better nutrition and cost effectiveness through a meal planning method suited to my family. I’ve been struggling with meal plans since a few months now (never did it before!) but I haven’t yet really succeeded!.

Stasi

I subscribe to simple organic and Keeper of the home in google reader.

I try to stretch our grocery budget to buy mostly organic/whole foods, but learning how to do things like raw dairy and grassfed meets on a small budget would be splendid. I’ve been very interested in reading this book since it came out.

I struggle with saving money at the store. I feel like I am in the trap of eating well or eating on the cheap. I would love to be able to halve our grocery bill. It sounds like this book has a lot of answers to my many questions. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am relatively new to the whole foods, natural eating. I am now starting a big push for my family and I would love to learn more about finding places to buy the best food and of course getting the best deals. The other important thing for me to learn would be how to incorporate whole, natural foods into our meal planning and diet since I come from a highly processed family. I now subscribe to both sites. Thanks so much for your information!

Lauren @ Just Add Lauren

I would be most excited about learning whether or not couponing can work for me with my goals.

Christine S

I would love to learn about couponing, especially for whole foods. Seems all I see coupons for are processed foods.

Kara

I’d like to learn everything! However, this sounds like a good one for me: “How to establish a realistic food budget for your unique family, and actually stick to it.”

Kara

I also subscribed via my yahoo reader.

Kara

Oy. I’m ALSO already subscribed here at simple organic.

Victoria

I’m subscribed to simple organic :)

GayleK

Wow! This e-book sounds great. In addition to menu planning tips and seasonal eating insights, this caught my eye: “Why, what and how to buy in bulk and what to do with all that food!” I don’t buy much in bulk due to limited space, but would love to learn more about it.

Jodi Anderson

I already subscribe to both blogs. :)

I would be absolutely thrilled to be selected as a winner.

Victoria

I think all the things listed are great to learn! But if I have to choose one, right now would be “Why you should purchase your foods seasonally and locally, preserve them for cheaper year-round eats, and even grow them yourself.”

Pam

What I’d most like to learn would be: •How to shave literally hundreds and potentially even thousands off of your grocery expenses every year, without compromising on what you buy! AND •How to find places to buy whole and traditional foods wherever you live and compare prices so that you know you’re getting the absolute best deals.
