Sunday Links: June 27

Happy Sunday!  I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend.  Things are sure heating up everywhere.  I spent a good portion of the day yesterday hosting a yard sale with some of my family; it was a sizzling summer day and eventually we were all forced to retreat to the shade of the garage.

But I am excited to report that my homemade deodorant held up swimmingly. How are you doing on the Natural Deodorant Challenge?  Any success stories to share?  Leave a comment so we can hear all about it!

Great links today. I enjoyed reading all of them!

The natural deodorant does not stand up to the 95 degree, 30 minute runs I take right before sunset. Then again, neither does regular deodorant either. With this Texas heat, there’s no way to stop all of the sweating…

Love the bike photo. I’ve never seen a bike with a trailer with 2 add’l seats. Is it custom or where does one get one?

    Enjoy this blog, thanks!

I made the coconut oil/baking soda/corn starch recipe of homemade deodorant and tested it against all day at the zoo in very humid 93 degrees in East Tenn. I was amazed that I did not stink at the end of the day. I still did sweat but I did not stink. For me, the odor problem is important. Any deodorant that can keep the sweaty smell down or away is a winner with me. I am very excited with this recipe and will continue to use it and have told several other people who are interested. Thanks so much for sharing this with your readers.

Since you posted your challenge I have banned my ‘old’ deodorant and have found a roll-on that hasn’t let me down so far… and we’ve had a couple pretty hot days here. I have used this doing yard work and some really ‘sweaty’ work, and I haven’t been stinky! After this challenge, I won’t go back even in the summer. Thanks!

I am most definitely converted! I LOVE my new homemade natural deodorant. I used the recipe from passionate homemaking. I was very hesitant to take the challenge because I am slightly phobic about smelling stinky but it’s really working better than anything else I’ve ever used. Thanks for the challenge.

Hope you are enjoying…….In my opinion FloralActive deodorants guarantee that you’ll get 12-hour protection and that it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin. I think every must try them .
