I recently whipped up a batch of strawberry honey jam… it came out delicious, despite being a little saucy. I’m an amateur canner but would love to get more into preserving the seasonal bounty in the years to come.

This next week marks the beginning of my “maternity leave” from Simple Organic. My baby will be arriving any day now really, and as I take a few weeks off from writing to nestle into being part of a family of five, I have some great posts lined up for you written by guest authors and our fabulous SO contributors. I’ll be popping in here and there still and checking in on Facebook and Twitter and in the comments as I am able.
Don’t forget to enter the Simple Food {for spring} cookbook giveaway, which ends tonight!

Yay! Can’t wait to hear of the arrival of your sweet little one. Praying for a safe and easy delivery!
